Our Values
About Our Training
We prepare future pilots for their airline and sectoral piloting needs from scratch to undergraduate level. Our school aims to cover the pilotage gap in the sector as soon as possible in the safest way by maintaining the technical infrastructure and equipment at the highest level in accordance with the requirements of the era with instructors with superior skills and experience without sacrificing high quality standards. Our students earn both a pilot license and a pilot diploma in the pilotage department with which they can apply to airline companies at the end of the 4-year pilot training.
Glider Instruction
The word glider entered our language from the French word "Planeur". In French, the word means “flying by gliding, covering a distance by gliding”.
It is defined by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) as a "an air vehicle without an engine that is heavier than air, capable of gliding in the air by creating a lifting force thanks to its fixed wing structure". Its history is older than engine assisted flight. It is an aircraft that can fly in the air by exploiting natural meteorological formations and can travel thousands of kilometers with these methods. German pilot Klaus Ohlmann performed a world distance record flight with a glider covering a distance of 3009 km in 2003.
Although it does not have an engine, glider training is the most important part of basic training worldwide before starting motorized flying. Glider training, which is the most important part of NASA's astronaut training, prepares astronauts for non-motorized flight on their return to Earth. From the moment space shuttles enter the atmosphere, they start to glide, that is, switch to glider mode. With the aim of maximizing the piloting skills of our students, we deliver this training that NASA also provides at the beginning of our flight instruction in our pilotage department. As a result of this flight training, our students gain an edge over competitors and are preferred candidates in the airline application process.
It should not be forgotten that it was this training, which develops emergency skills and piloting skills was also received by Captain Pilot Sully, who was able to land his plane like a bird on the Hudson River due to a motor failure thus saving the lives of dozens of people.
PPL(A)
A candidate who wants to become an airline pilot must first receive PPL training, where basic theoretical training is delivered and basic skills used by a pilot are developed. The training consists of theoretical lessons not less than 100 hours in total and 46 hours of 30-minute flight training.
After the theoretical training delivered at the beginning of the course, the student is expected to take an exam organized by SHGM (General Directorate of Civil Aviation) and achieve 75% success in one of 4 exams. Students who fail 4 times in the exam receive re-take training and qualify for 4 more rights. A student who displays the required success in the exam is sent to the flight line by our school to fly for 45 hours.
During these flight trainings, the student learns to operate the aircraft's controls, basic air movements, basic instrument flight training and basic navigation safely. If deemed appropriate by the flight instructor, the student can make his first solo flight on the 15th hour lesson and fly solo for a total of 12 hours of the 45 hours of flying during this training.
At the end of the 45th hour, an examiner commissioned by SHGM tests the student's skills with a 1-hour and 30-minute flight, and if these skills are deemed sufficient, a PPL (Private Pilot License), namely a Private Pilot License, is issued on behalf of the student.
NVFR
A candidate who has completed the PPL (A) training and awarded a PPL (A) license must make a 5-hour night flight on a single engine aircraft. This flight takes about 4 days. No further license is awarded on the completion of this training, however it must be completed in order to become a commercial pilot.
PIC
PIC (Pilot in Command) flight means flying on board as a responsible pilot. In order for the airline pilot candidate to complete the trainings from now on, he / she has to fly 100 hours as PIC in total. Since these flights are flown for 13 hours and 30 minutes during the training stages, 86 hours and 30 minutes in flight must be completed. A pilot can make these flights up to 6 hours per day. After 50 hours of PIC, the student can start IR (Instrument Rating) training.
ATPL Teorik
This phase consists of advanced theoretical lessons that a pilot holding a PPL must take in order to engage in any commercial activity and work for an airline. The candidate repeats the lessons he / she has summarized during the PPL phase in detail with 650 hours of instruction. This training takes approximately 7 months during the 4-year training period. The student must participate 100% in all theoretical lessons.
Students sit exams separately for each of the 14 courses delivered by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation and they are expected to achieve 75% success for each one. The exams of these 14 courses must be completed "within 6 session rights and 4 exam rightss for each course". In addition, the student must take the first exam within 12 months after the end of theoretical instruction and complete all exams within 18 months from the date of taking the first exam.
If a students fails to complete all the exams successfully under these conditions, all the exam results are declared void and the student must retake all 14 exams, even those that he has succeeded by attending a "Re-take Course". “ATP credit” statement is added to the license of the candidate who has succeeded in all 14 exams. If the candidate who is successful in ATPL exams fails to obtain a CPL (A) license within 24 months, the exam results will become void.
IR(A)
A candidate who has completed the 50-hour PIC flight can start IR training. This training is delivered to the pilot to teach how to fly an aircraft safely using the indicators and auxiliary navigation devices inside the aircraft. The IR is entered into the license of the pilot candidate who has successfully completed this training. It is one of the trainings that is necessary to become an airline pilot.
This training starts with a 35-hour simulator flight. Simulator flights are recorded in the flight log, just like regular airplane flights, and the student learns basic procedures on the simulator. Subsequently, a flight is made by airplane for 15 hours to apply what has been learned. In addition to completing these flights, if the student is successful in the exam of 14 theoretical courses to be held by SHGM during the ATPL Theoretical stage, he / she proceeds into the control of the IR phase. Flight skills are tested by a pilot commissioned by SHGM again and, if approved, the IR is licensed by SHGM. This control can be accompanied with the CPL control if necessary.
CPL
This phase is flight training that the candidate must complete in order to engage in any commercial flight activity. It is the stage where the error tolerance of basic flight movements learned in PPL are replicated at a lower level.
This training is given for 15 hours to students who have taken IR instruction. Therefore, candidates targeting airlines are recommended to first complete the IR stage and then proceed to this stage. The candidate can then enter the control flights for both together. The candidate must be successful in the exams of the 14 courses in ATPL theoretical instruction to qualify for the control flight.
ME
At this stage, the candidate learns to apply his developed skills on a multi-engine aircraft. This stage also starts with simulator training and then what is learned is applied on the aircraft. The training is completed with a total of 11 hours of flight and 2 hours of control flight. The pilot, who is successful in the control flight, qualifies to have multiple engine authority processed onto his license and with this authority the pilot is ready to apply to airlines as FO (First Officer). After this stage, the application and interview process of the pilot to different airlines begins together with graduation.
Our Airfields
One of the biggest problems of today's aviation is that schools delivering aviation instruction do not have their own runways. Our department built its own runway when it was established to prevent our students from wasting time and being de-motivated by this problem. Our runway is located in Konya province and consists of 1000 meters of asphalt, 1500 meters of grass runway, taxiway and training facilities. In addition, this area is also planned to host aviation meetings, fairs and festivals.
Our Aircraft
Safety is our priority in flight training. Since the aircraft that we will use in our trainings must meet the conditions for modern equipment and requirements, our university has added modern aircraft to its fleet. Our aircraft are equipped their own parachute system. In a possible emergency, parachutes are opened on our planes, and the aircraft is lands slowly on the ground like a bird. Furthermore, the planes offer a more practical flight training as they are equipped with navigation and digital systems.
